Topics Covered

Morning: Standard Bichon a’ poil’frisè with risers

• Standard cut with risers and clipper in workshop, respecting the breed standard, we will carry out commercial shop work. We will provide you with the various reference points to form the ramp and roundness of the head for good execution.
• Technique that can be performed in the shop as an alternative to the classic round muzzle and long ears.
• Study of heads in curly hair.
• Which products to choose and how to use them according to the breed and type of hair.
• Technique and correct use of scissors.
• Difference between curved, straight or serrated scissors based on the type of hair and practical exercises.

*It is recommended to bring your own scissors for training grip and advice on use

Afternoon: Commercial Cocker spaniel

• Cut performed by machine but always in compliance with the breed standard .
• Explanation of the reference points to create the bottom line and the breaks of the fringe and the tie,
• Use the same reference points to create any type of skirt, on any type of dog as long as it has Smooth hair.
• Explanation on the possibilities of untangling the type of hair defined as woolly without causing major damage to the fringes.
• Various shaving heights on the neck and ear
• Which tools to use
• How to prepare the hair with Aries cosmetics.
